 (Armoracia rusticana)

Sorry there are no Horseradish available at this time

Description

Traditionally used as a hot sauce for beef, but it has a multitude of other uses, dating back centuries...both medicinal and cosmetic. A perennial plant.

Growing Instructions

Just about any soil except sandy is fine, in full sun/partial shade. Plant in a permanent position, because when digging up the roots for harvesting, some parts of root are usually left in the soil and will grow again! Can also be grown successfully in a large container. When blending or shredding the root to make sauce etc., do it outside or in a well ventilated area, as it is quite pungent, and will make your eyes water!!
